Excellents sports museum

I am a bit biased, as I was a big Kevin Keegan fan, and he played for HSV Hamburg. Museum is excellent, covering its entire history, unlike many football clubs. The ups and downs and good and bad, lots of memorabilia. History of the stadium, and its many other sports as well. Couldn't do a tour as well, as Metallica were playing there. Well worth a visit.

Interesting trip!

Visited the museum and stadium for the 2nd time. The tour is normally in German, but given it was only our group who turned up, it was conducted in English. The tour guide, Yasem, was excellent. He gave a very informative tour and enjoyed a laugh with us. The weather was great and the stadium and museum were very impressive!

Its quite a walk from the train station so be prepared. The museum is located within the football stadium and tickets can be purchased within the team shop. We visited early afternoon on a Sunday so were the only people in the museum. Its small but has lots of interesting facts (all in German) but it was still an interesting 30 mins.

Only for real HSV fans

With great attention to detail, memories from many years of HSV history have been brought together in the museum. Die-hard HSV fans will definitely get their money's worth here and can experience the history of their club in a more tangible way.
For my taste, the video reports could have shown a goal being conceded.
It's a shame that the technology doesn't work for some of the audio reports.
