Nice building

This is a really beautiful building right next to the St. Nicholas Church. It was built in 1753 - 1755 and served as a Town Hall. It was badly damaged in 1945 and since 2012 is the Potsdam Museum.

City Hall + Museum

The Alter Markt is also the current administration heart of the city, with the Old City Hall (or newly rebuilt Old City Hall). The building looks so pristine after it’s restoration. On top of its tower stands Atlas shouldering the world. Inside the City Hall is the Potsdam Museum which houses exhibits on the history of the city. While this may be the historical centre, the more interesting part of Potsdam is actually further up into the main town and the parks.

Maybe the only attraction on Alte Markt

The building is very nice. Built in the 18.th century in Italian style. Today it serves for events and exhibitions.
