Built during the eighteenth century to control the movement of people and goods into the city, the beautiful gate is now a reminder of a glorious past. The simple stone gate is decorated with sculptures at its top and makes for a great photo spot.

The reason I like this landmark is because it’s very accessible. So many places in Europe (especially gates and such) are not as accessible or they require more time than I want to give. This is a great place to stop and see after reading a bit about it. And you can spend as little or as much time as you’d like.

Went past this gate on our walk around the town centre. Nice enough. Not spectacular. Fit it in with the others in the town.

Nice gate, good to see if you are in Potsdam. It is nicely made and has cultural significance. Don't miss this!

Spent the afternoon on a rented bike riding all over the city. This was one of the gates I visited. Easy access by bike or walking.

Probably one of the least impressive out of the gates in the Potsdam area but worth the extra few block stroll if you go to one of the other gates.

One of the many gates around Potsdam and Berlin, nothing spectacular but it is a part of local history and worth a look when in the padestrain zone.

A pretty, and , much smaller, gate on the road to the "other" Brandenburger Gate. Worth seeing for it's picturesque setting as part of a walk around Potsdam.

I had a kick when I heard the name of this gate. The Jagertor or Jaeger Gate which means Hunter's Gate. The Jaeger reminds me of the robots from Pacific Rim.

If you trace the former Potsdam wall across town, this is one of the last surviving gate.
