The first exhibition which changes, about mobility was not that good. There is a long line to register and requires many steps which is annoying when there are crowds. The second main exhibition in the universum with 3 levels is really great with many fantastic interactive exhibitions. Very good.

We had planned to spend a couple of hours here, expecting that our children (4 and 6) would be getting restless, but we were still there at closing time, seven hours later, and practically had to drag them through the doors as the staff were locking up. Everything is hands-on and utterly fascinating. Can’t recommend highly enough. All signage in German and English.

Great place for the whole family. If you have several hours to mix fun and getting knowledge, this is a place for you. Kids love it. There is a restaurant in it, so you don't have to worry about leaving the museum half way through.

Excellent science museum with interactive experiments. Great for kids of all ages. We spent an afternoon on the cheap evening tickets, but really needed the double time to see and try everything.

Went on the train from Hamburg, for a day to Bremen and had booked our tickets in advance. Really enjoyed our visit here. Loads to do, really educational and interesting. Only negative was, the Cafe had no food for lunch?? Well worth a visit.

My experience was really disappointing. Me and my friends were expecting a good day at the museum, but when we arrived there the receptionist advises us that there are nothing in english and it's better don't go inside if we don't understand german. The question is why the museum doesn't have translations?

We came as party of 5 with our child and all of us have been fascinated by the great presentation of the different themes.
You can spend hours here, especially if you want to get involved and try the endless number of experiments to get a first-hand impression of physics, the human body, nature etc.
We all enjoyed an entertaining afternoon and would have been staid even longer but then we hit the official closing time...

Definitely the Universum Bremen is one of the best science museums I've ever been to!! It is a very interesting place where you can understand how the things work and do some experiments by your own hands. The museum is large enough to spend a whole day there. There are plenty of hands-on activities for kids and not only for kids! You can also learn some science outdoor: for example, to understand double pendulum phenomenon with swing etc. For a family activity, Universum in Bremen is hard to beat!
It is a pity that there are not so many science explanations in English, for people who don't know German, it might be not so interesting.

Can we do something on our own for practical experience? a lab for students or something?

Yes - there are setups which have an open individual outcome.

Sollte man Karten vorher bestellen?

Das hängt davon ab, ob gerade Ferien sind oder der erste Freitag im Monat (an dem Tag bekommen Bremer Kinder und Jugendliche freien Eintritt und es ist besonders voll).
