Bremen

Bremen has a beautifull and well maintained historic center. Wandering around in this quarter os real fun. Even after several visits there is still a lot to diacover.

One of the nicest German towns and a must see for Christmas or around this period. Prices at the time were low, however the popularity has increased the prices with the cheap frill flight deals are not frill any longer.

During the day busy area with tourists and locals as next to main shopping streets. Fresh food and flower markets. During our visit was a market in the evening with traditional food and souvenirs - lovely to stroll among the lights sipping gluhwein and eating traditional food.

There are very beautiful buildings around the Old Town square. A lot of street food like potato chips, great sausages, smoked fish. Also you can find here a lot of carousels and attractions for children.

A compact old town area that is well worthy of a day's' visit. Lots of shops. Interesting buildings. Friendly people. Good selection of restaurants. Not frenetic. Many areas are Pedestrianised, but watch out for the cyclists !

If you are in Bremen, that is the heart of the city that you must see. Full and thriving with history, art, markets and activities makes it a really beautiful time to spend there. Very highly recommended.

Plenty of beautiful architecture to view and visit. You can easily find a place to eat nearby. We visited the cathedral and town hall. Both are in easy walking distance from each other and you get to see other local monuments like the Roland.

Stand in the alstadt and look around and you will be so amazed at this beautiful city center area. The buildings are gorgeous. The rebuilding after WWII is remarkable, they look as if they have been there for centuries. The alstadt is quite large, accommodating huge crowds of people. We found it strange that these electric buses ran through the... More
