If you've got time on a sunny day to sit and look around, this park is great. The view os the buildings around it is most attractive. I listened for a while to a young woman who was singing to accompaniment provided by a guitar player. Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" has rarely sounded better.

This park is located centrally and is surrounded by important landmarks and museums. A great place to stop by and relax during the day.

This is just a (somehow) green lawn in front of the Berliner Dom.
It's by no means an attraction on its own.

The Lustgarten is a park-like square in the historic city center. Berlin Cathedral and Altes Museum are located next to it.

This garden has its roots in the 16th century when Elector Johann Georg had a swamp near his castle drained to create room for a fruit and herb garden.

There is a fountain in the middle of the garden.

Museum Island overall is really impressive visually, architecturally, and historically. There's a significant amount of picnic-ing and general loitering that I saw when we were there in the summer. However would recommend sitting on the steps of a museum or the cathedral to stay out of the shade and for a better people-watching vantage point. Just watch out for the pigeons.

This is a lovely open area just by Berlin Cathedral and the Altes Museum. Apart from its size, there is also a lovely fountain in the middle of it

Lustgarden is a huge lawn with several fountains set on Museum island right in front of the imposing Berliner Dom and the Old museum aside.
It's a very relaxed place to sit, cool down with a snack and drink and admire the Dom (best pics are made from here). Also a nice place to walk by the Spree river.

Beautiful are surrounded by grand buildings and crowded with tourists (when we went August 2019). Perfect place to relax and people watch! We went as part of "Alla Tours" all day tour of Berlin from our cruise ship's one day stop in Warnemunde port.

Lustgarten is a park on Museum Island in central Berlin. The Lustgarten was originally developed in the 16th century as a kitchen garden attached to the Palace. The Lustgarten also features fountains and is once again a park in the heart of a reunited Berlin.
