Been here before and after the refurbishment of a few years ago. Before you could still feel the old East German and even Russian atmosphere. After the refurbishment a lot of things improved. Wardrobe and dancefloor are much better. Unfortunately the airco still is a problem, so it can get really warm downstairs.
In the basement they have two dancefloors. One big one and a small one. Sound is really good, lighting fun but basic. A big bar is installed next to the big dancefloor. Subway is located next door, so getting there is really easy. (U-bahn U5 Schillingstrasse)

Café Moskau was one of a total of 7 nationality restaurants in the GDR (including Warsaw, Budapest, Prague), which were intended to give guests an insight into the cultural and culinary world of the socialist brother countries. With the exception of Café Moskau, all the restaurants were closed after the fall of the Soviet Union. Above the lettering is a full-size Sputnik, which was a gift from the then ambassador of the USSR.

Opposite the Kino International, you will see the Moskau Cafe. With a Sputnik on the roof. Although it was closed, yet the outside is interesting enough.
