Best bike tour, go with Dave from Australia!

I went on the tour with Dave from Australia yesterday, and honestly it had to be the best bike tour I've done to date. I do these a lot when I'm visiting a new city, and you can... read more

I went on the tour with Dave from Australia yesterday, and honestly it had to be the best bike tour I've done to date. I do these a lot when I'm visiting a new city, and you can count on fat tire for a great experience. If you do this (highly recommended!) Dave was probably the best guide I've ever... More

Very friendly, Great fat tire bikes and great prices. We rented the bike privately but they had bike tours and Segways too. Central location and well maintained bikes and great location advice. Highly recommended.

Did this day city tour just after Christmas and had a great guide called William who was very knowledgeable and entertaining. It was a fabulous overview of the City and the history and gave us good ideas for the rest of our mini-break. Although there were about 40 people there for the day trip, we were split into groups and... More

We booked this tour in mid December after reading so many good reviews - and we were not disappointed. Our guide Brett (with 2 T's) was very friendly and knowledgeable. We only had 3 days in Berlin and saw most of the sights on this 4 hour tour. Brett also recommended some lovely spots for a drink/food. Berlin is totally... More

We only had 3 days to see Berlin and this tour covered all the main sights we wanted to see!! You don't need to be an athlete to keep up and you get a short break for a cup of coffee 😊

We joined this tour on a cold and wet Boxing Day but our guide William soon distracted us from the conditions. We did the best of Berlin tour as this was the only option available on the day. We initially wanted to do the Berlin Wall tour but glad we were forced to do this one as was a good... More

Going against most other reviews here, I don't think this company deserves such a high rating. We went on both Sandemanns walking tour (free) and this, and the walking tour was at least ten times better! The tour guide had just memorised facts, and recited them without any interest or opinion. Berlin seemed quite dull. And the way they cheer... More

Really great way to get to learn the history of Berlin and see the sights! I strongly recommend doing this in the early days of being here to get your bearings and learn the history, not only that the guides are so friendly and are willing to help give you ideas and places to go based on your interests. We... More

We booked a day trip with these guys as we had heard good things about them. So stoked we did. Super friendly guide (Neil) and so much good knowledge! He went out of his way to make sure we had a good time and learn as much as we could in the 4hrs we were there for. The bikes are... More

We booked our tour via Mosiac who work in partnership with Fat Tire and are a complete non-profit tour organisation. Ciearan introduced himself and we then introduced ourselves to the rest of the group. The train ride over to the camp helped everyone get to know each other and break the ice for the rest of the day. Once at... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
