Fantastic way to discover Berlin and the surrounding areas! The company actually does a lot of tours and I have so far done two: The Original Berlin Tour (Guided byRyan) - If you've just landed in the city start with this one. I would call it a classic city tour. Hitler's Germany (Guided by Kevin) - a story about how... More

Concentration camp Our tour guide was Rick. He was very good and experienced. Was well informative, had strong opinions. I would strongly recommend this tour. Potsdam: I couldn't make it on time as there was emergency in the public transport and was late. However, I did call the office to inform and asked if they could call guide and ask... More

Great walking tour of Berlin. Around 3.5 hours including all the major sights- cathedral, book burning square of nazi era, check point Charlie, memorial to murdered Jews of Europe, hitler bunker location, and of course the Wall! Rachael our guide is very knowledgable - expat American however a German history major and 5 years in Berlin. Detailed and balanced history... More

We went on the 4 hour Discover Berlin Walking Tour last week and our guide was Ryan, a Scottish guy who has lived in Berlin for 9 years. We had visited the sights the previous day and although impressive, they didn't inspire us even when we read about them in our guide book. Ryan, on the other hand, brought Berlin's... More

If you want a nice introduction to Berlin, we would recommend the all-in-one tour. Our guide Matti was great and had awesome and very interesting stories to tell. His knowlegde of the history of Berlin is impressive.

I went on the half-day walking tour on my first day in Berlin to get a feel for the city. It was excellent and informative - I learned a ton, especially about 20th century Berlin! The guide (Torben, I believe) was very knowledge and friendly. He was happy to answer questions and go into more detail about things we were... More

What happened in Berlin in the last century is almost incredible - from being a liberal city welcoming diversity then then opposite and now a great city again. An excellent history lesson, provided by Jonathon.

We all went on the full day Sachsenhausen memorial walking tour and it was excellent. Our guide Dennis was fantastic - brilliant in-depth knowledge and a great story teller. He couldn't have been more helpful. There's quite a bit of walking and a lot of it will be outside so wrap up warm and bring some snacks. I would recommend... More

We did both the 1/2 day Berlin walking tour and the concentration camp tour with this company. The company seems to be made up of English guides from various locations who are studying their PhDs in German history in Berlin. This is said as a good thing, although read on. 1/2 day tour - we were taken to all the... More

On a long weekend with friends in Berlin, we took a four hour walking tour with Wouter. I was really impressed by his knowledge and how he developed a theme for the tour that he kept coming back to. Our tour group was not particularly chatty but Wouter took every chance to get people engaged and talking. I really enjoyed... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
