While deported by the Communists, this statue of Frederic the Great one of the architects of Prussia, has come back to its' rightful place. Luckily, the Communists forgot or did not dare to melt down this statue of the 19th century. So, it is still the original.

This monument stands in tribute to Frederick the Great, the Prussian king who made Prussia the preeminent German kingdom and the de facto leading state of the German Empire.
The monument is a larger than life equestrian sculpture of Frederick and standing on an unusually tall pedestal. The pedestal is nearly 8 metres high and it probably has to be that tall to accommodate the two bands of sculpture, most of which are in full relief. Most of these sculptures depicts the great men of Frederick the Great's time in life size. The statue of Frederick depicts the king in military uniform, underneath a cloak. On his uniform, he is wearing honours and decorations, and with his characteristic bicorne hat.
A monumental and magnificent sculpture.

Because of the route from our hotel, we passed by this larger than life equestrian statue of Frederick the Second on a number of occasions, and without exception, each time several people had made their way to the base and were looking up at the figures. The main work is very good, but also take a little time to look at the other detailed figures around the base.

Very beautiful sculpture. Friedrich himself looks as normal as any correctly made sculpture, but the pedestal of his sculpture was the most part interesting for me. There are many historical pictures around that pedestal, and they made accurately and depict interesting moments.

It is a statue of Friedrich the second, a famous Prussian king. The statue is between Alexanderplatz and Brandenburger Tor, at the beginning of Unter den Linden.

This is a great statue in the center of Unter den Linden near the Bebelplatz. It is also very deserving as Fredrick the Great is incredibly important to the relevance of Berlin. German flounder as a very divisive area until the Prussian crown was united. While his grandfather did this, it was Fredrick the Great that made Prussia an important nation in Europe. His military victories and his open policies on religion were hallmarks that eventually propelled Prussia to the lead in Central Europe and the rallying point for German unification.

The statue is quite majestic and it’s located in the heart of Berlin near the Russian Embassy and various palaces. It stands tall and it’s something (statue) you will see in various parts of Europe.
