Neighbourhood: Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.

Lovely surroundings (although the windows really need cleaned!). We came for breakfast - great service from the young female server who was very friendly and helpful. Lovely food that was delivered quickly.

Lovely building, like stepping back in time. We called for breakfast which was lovely, marked down for service which could have been faster and a little more attentive.

Refined and tranquil oasis for a delicious breakfast. We watched red squirrels scampering in the garden whilst we enjoyed a very tasty breakfast of salmon and cream cheese bagels with very good coffee and tea.

I have visited this café for decades. The location, surroundings inside and out envelop you with a feeling of “old literary Berlin “ of the 20th century (akin to the original Einstein Cafē). The food is great. But service is the absolutely slowest. Always. Even when the café isn’t crowded. But for that, I would give them 5*****.

Great food, amazing ambience and completely secluded. The tables in the garden became our go-to for breakfasts while we were in Berlin. Luckily, the menu is sufficiently diverse for us to keep tasting new things. Highly recommendable!

This used to be a nice place for breakfast and coffee... but after visiting the place in June 2020, I must say it has become an absolute disgrace. I ordered a breakfast with eggs. We received some bread, jam and a small glass of orange juice (which wasn’t fresh and came straight from Aldi). The eggs arrived 40 min later. Multiple times we asked for the eggs and the waiter responded that the kitchen was understaffed. When asking for additional bread (as we had eaten ours while we had been waiting), the waiter responded that this would cost extra. When I asked for more butter, she pointed to my plate and said that I still had some on it. Overall she was super rude. I had the feeling she, as well as her colleagues, saw us as burdens... I rarely felt so unwelcome in a restaurant.

Housed in a suburban villa off Kurfurstendamm ,with a bookshop in the basement. You can sit inside or in a conservatory.
Open from morning to late night.
Fairly expensive but good quality food and drink.
A lot of customers looked like they were in the creative industries.

The combination of a bookstore and café is not played out too much. There IS a bookstore on the ground floor with the café above, but the café dominates, with three+ rooms for convivial meetings and elegant menu items. One of the rooms is a winter garden with a glass ceiling, through which all must enter, so to some extent arrival is one of the café's classiest events. Well-dressed clientele meet mostly for fun and catching up. Breakfast works for those who live, work, or are visiting in the area. It's one quiet block off Kufürstendamm, the chic shopping avenue of Berlin, next to the Käthe Kollwitz Museum. If you're visiting Berlin and staying in the area, it's a great way to start your day.

We had a business group of 10 people, our order was accepted quite quickly. The food was not of the highest quality.
Snacks were not served at the same time and the main course, too.
Having ordered dessert, one of the visitors to our group was served the wrong dessert. He asked to be replaced, but instead the restaurant administrator (a thin man, middle-aged) walked up to our table, scold, slandered, and shouted at us.
Subsequently, he includes that wrong dessert into our bill.
There was dust and cobwebs on the floor lamps in the room, and small rubbish was lying on the floor.
Do not go there......believe me in Berlin you can find much more better place easyyyy......

Tasty food in an old world setting. Next door is the small Käthe Kollewitz Museum. Nice to be in a leafy venue in the busy city.
