We are fortunate to have good friends in Berlin who recommend their favorite restaurants, and the Cafe Wintergarten in Literaturhaus was on the list during our recent visit. The setting is lovely, a tranquil space on a quiet street not far from the Ku-Damm. Sit...More

In my humble opinion, people with style go there and enjoy the atmosphere. You can see loners enjoying their meal or coffee while reading a book in the garden when the weather is nice or friends getting together or just people watching others passing by....More

This place is a bit of a step back in time .. the building, the decor, the ambience and the fact that me and my husband were nearly half the age of some of the clientele! That though is part of its charm and it...More

Though used to Swedish prices, I am still surprised my asparagus soup was 7,5 EUR with 1 piece of bread (ok it was big, but no butter or salad which I consider a must when serving a soup). Cherry cake was yummy. There was a...More

Stopped here for a nice afternoon lunch in the sun with my parents. Good food and great apple strudel for desert. Set in a nice garden with umbrellas it was the perfect May, sunny afternoon.

We enjoyed a late lunch on the terrace of this delightful cafe. The service was good, and the food was lovely. We chose a casar salad (fresh and nicely prepared) and a the vegetarian option of artichokes and stuffed vegetables. The latter was truly sensational,...More

I came to this lovely place - a small and quiet garden next to Ku'damm - for the breakfast. I was so disappointed when I saw that you apparently have to look like other posh customers if you want to be respected by the waitress...More

Do not miss it the kukurma blood orange yoghurt drink! It's a delicious and healthy start to the day. The restaurant is classy and aristocratic. Ac reservation in the green house would be ideal since it's always full. The bookstore downstairs and the garden are...More

Not sure how many times I have been to this place, but we keep coming back, despite the occasionally erratic service! Usually go for brunch/late breakfast. I think the appeal is the location and mostly the atmosphere both in winter, ideally book a table in...More

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through
the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which
lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood.
Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city:
upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades
and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone
streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through
little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop

Just checked their German language website which specifically mentions that they serve vegetarian dishes. Hope you have a nice time in Berlin and enjoy both the food and the atmosphere of the Literaturhaus Berlin!
