Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.

We ended up here only because we had to go & visit a doctor's clinic nearby.
It is actually a very nice, quiet past of the City. Lovely shops & nice cafes, especially the Portuguese one.
It's only a short distance from the zoo area.
Not worth a special trip though.

Interesting little town square with greenery, benches, pergolas, some artwork, ideal to sit and rest, enjoy a breather after exploring Zoo and Breitscheidplatz. There are some decent eateries all around, as well as some interesting shopping experience below the elevated train tracks. Just a little bit off the beaten path. Nice stop.

Bohemian area with plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops, etc. with plenty of ambience, right off convenient S-bahn stop. It also has a small park that offers open space and shades.

We went several nights to this area to find restaurants and were mostly pleasantly surprised by the quality. If you are a stranger to the city, this is definitely the place to go. It's also wise to check Trip Advisor for some advice before you set out--the options are almost limitless!

A nicely-landscaped square in an upscale neighborhood, surrounded by good restaurants and cafes. Noise from the S-Bahn.

Perfect location!
My husband, toddler and I stayed for a week in Kudam in a NH hotel near Savinyo platz. The location from our hotel was a 3 min walk to the tram ( s-bam) and there was several restaurants to choose from at Savinyoplatz which made it convenient. The area in very clean, safe to have a nice walk around the block.

I love nothing better than jumping the Sbahn down to Savignyplatz especially when the weather is good and just enjoy this wonderful area of Berlin.
There's a lovely little park area here and innumerable pubs, bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture ,I always pay Zillemarkt and the 12th Apostle a visit to enjoy a beer or a meal or just take a picnic to the wonderful park.
Savignyplatz is really popular with both locals and tourists and is a great place to visit.
It's easy to get to ,the Shabh stop Savignyplatz brings you directly into this part of town.
Well worth checking out.

Lots of enjoyable restaurants & bars-- good variety of cuisines and price points. Great neighbourhood to sit at an outdoor cafe, enjoy a drink, dine, people watch, or stroll with a dog.
