    A Very Moving Experience
This was the most inspiring place we visited in Berlin. The true stories of courage and conviction were powerful. People in all walks of life risked everything to oppose Hitler. Most were executed. Be sure to learn about the White Rose Society, the college students who resisted and paid with their lives.

In a town full of museums, don't skip this one.
This is an exceptional museum! Some people have reported that there is not much information in English, but actually all of the cards and museum "info" is translated into English. Original documents (letters, newspapers, etc.) are not translated, but all the stories are. It is incredibly informative, and I think you need to plan for 2 hours at least. I did not budget enough time here, so I am left to do research on my own, but it really provides a good story of the German people who were against Hitler from the beginning. This is a side of the story that we don't hear enough about. And it wasn't just organizations, but average people who knew something wasn't right and tried to do something about it at great personal risk and cost.

    Brilliant free museum
Very interesting museum with brilliant explanations in English of the various attempts to topple Hitler. Most people were caught and executed. This museum is the location of the German army headquarters and top German officials based here were planning a coup which failed and they were caught and executed in the courtyard. Full story explained in detail with many photographs. Nice memorial to keep these stories alive and to pay tribute to these heroes who resisted Nazi rule.

    Operation Valkyrie
This is the site where Operation Valkyrie conspirator Claus von Stauffenberg was executed among others. During WW2, this building served as the Supreme Headquarters of the Army. Today, it is not only a memorial, but there is a VERY well done museum too. The layout of the museum is superb with a ton of exhibits and artifacts. I highly recommend visiting both the courtyard memorial and the museum that is housed inside the building. Getting there is about a 10 minute car ride or 25 minute walk from the Brandenburg Gate.

Having heard about Claus von Stauffenberg and Sofie Scholl I wanted to pay my respects to theirs and the memory of many others who courageously resisted the Nazi regime. The museum has free admission and extremely well-presented with copious photographs and narratives displayed on large boards. I spent about 2 hours there but it wasn't enough if one really wants to do it justice. I ended up buying leaflets and literature to take home and absorb properly in my own time but left this building with a huge impression of just what these people were up against and the risks they took knowing the outcomes if they failed. An amazing tribute to the Resistance.

As many of the other reviews say, this is an amazing museum. And, it’s free. It is clearly also a place of ongoing research. It is simple and stark, detailed, distressing and demonstrates (like the Topography of Terror) that young Germans are determined to investigate the horrors of WW2 in detail. Four floors of fascinating boards to read. Not for young children as there is a lot of concentration needed and there is also a respectful hush in this building which saw the execution of those behind the Generals Plot. This features on one floor. Another floor details the last weeks of the war and the towns that tried to surrender, with often tragic consequences. The individual stories, carefully documented, moved me to tears. There is also a heart-warming floor about those Germans who hid Jews for the duration of the war. An utterly memorable place.

This is a fateful place where you are reminded of the enormous price you had to pay for daring to stand up to the Nazi regime. There is an incredible amount of information here, even so much that it is difficult to take it all in. Different resistance groups and people are presented in text and images. If you do not want or want to absorb all the information, you can still feel the atmosphere in the premises where some of the assassins of the July 20 attack on Hitler worked. In the courtyard there is a memorial at the place where Stauffenberg and some others were shot on the night of the attack.

The museum doesn’t appear to be the most visited. There’s sort of a slightly sad atmosphere more people don’t visit a site commemorating those brave men and women who stood up to Hitler.

Although the courtyard of the museum is where von Stauffenberg and his other co-conspirators met their fate. It is also dedicated to those who had resisted the Nazi regime including Sophie Scholl and the White arose movement. Lots of photos and some original documents

All in all, it was interesting and enlightening. It’s close to a hop on hop off tourist bus stop (Kulturforum). Admission is free and masks required.

Visited here last week, tucked out of the way so you have to make the effort to go and find this for a very interesting visit.
If you’ve heard of or watched the film Valkyrie with Tom Cruise you should definitely visit here as this tells the story of various assassination attempts on Hitlers life.
A very historic location with a great exhibit.
Well worth the visit.

My wife and I visited this museum which unequivocally attests to the fight led by the German Resistance against the Nazi monsters. What courage to take the risk of confronting this horrible dictatorship which has done so much harm to the whole world and especially to the Jews of many European countries and to all those who fought for freedom.
The museum is extremely well illustrated with numerous photographs and very moving texts.
You cannot stay in Berlin without visiting it. Thank you to everyone who designed and organized this place so full of history.
