A unique historical place. Find the last resting place of the divine actress Marlene Dietrich. Beautiful graveyard with tranquil places to reflect. Her burial place is in Section 34 (Abteilung 34), place no. 363. To save you looking too long, although stroll around is very pleasant. See photo of map.

During my frequent trips to Berlin without fail I visit two most interesting and emotional locations only some three kilometres apart. They are far more interesting than the standard tourist attractions but are unknown to many visitors who seek the numerous war locations of the city. They are the Gerburtshaus - The Birth House - and the last resting place... More

A small cemetery but with a beautiful and serene atmosphere. Marlene's grave is a very remarkable but yet humble one. A great lady and artist between other humble people. "Marlene" "Hier stehe ich an den Marken meiner Tage".

Not well publicised but well worth the visit. I arrived at Bundesstrasse S bahn/ U bahn in a snow storm. The cemetery is only about 500 metres away but you need to ask the way. Coming out of the station having travelled from the Neu Koln direction, look to the left. You will see the main road past the station... More

Could never go to Berlin without paying my respects to Marlene's grave. Next to it is Helmut Newton's one. The graveyard is worth a visit as it is fairly small but extraordinarily peaceful and relaxing. There is not much around though except few coffee shops and the U Bahn.

Marlene Dietrich is buried next to her mother in a lovely but otherwise unremarkable cemetery. The gravestone is simply marked "Marlene" with her years of birth and death. Her small plot was covered with flowers and her gravestone was topped off with stones even though she wasn't Jewish. Since she resisted Adolf Hitler before and during World War II, apparently... I came here to pay my respects to Marlene Dietrich one of my favourite Movie Stars. The cemetery is like an oasis in Berlin. Her grave was covered in flowers from well wishers. I also loved the walk from the U-Bahn to the cemetery. It is in a pretty leafy tree lined street with beautiful old villa mansion apartment buildings... More
