The relaxed atmosphere that she has created changed my practice and allowed me to relax into poses and accept all aspects of myself. The mindful element of the classes were really interesting. Just a beautiful & warm studio. I feel very welcomed here.. I love Anya's classes, a warm and kind hearted instructor. Would definitely recommend to anyone either coming back from a break (like myself) or beginner/more advanced yogis. Great variety of teachers & classes, there is something for everyone and involves meditation in the later classes. Also fantastic to connect... More

Love this place. I visited this class years ago in their old location and after dropping back into Berlin I'm glad to see they're still going strong! The teachers are always amazing and their new home at the Buddhistisches Tor is just stunning. Now they have 4 different classes every week for all levels and also including a meditation class,... I took a class within my first week in Berlin and felt very welcomed - the place is well signposted, the temple relaxing, and the instructors are gracious and always happy to talk with you. Recommended!

I had a great experience at this Yoga class last Monday. The Osho studio is absolutely beautiful - large and bright - and the whole atmosphere is very welcoming from the moment you arrive. I'm a bit of a Yoga newbie so I was pleased to see that I was not alone in that! There are people of all levels... More

True to its description, the area is very colorful and interesting. I was so glad that I went. There were beautiful graffiti walls, lots and lots of interesting local restaurants and hangouts and some art galleries in the area. The studio is located deep inside the courtyard. I would have never been able to find it just by the address,... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
