Very good collection here in a very modern building set in the arts district of West Berlin, also near the embassies.

It's closed for months (or years) for reconstruction. Unfortunately it's not mentioned here so I was disappointed when I got there. A visit to the Kulturforum nearby made that up though.

Checked on different sites. Misleading information. Went for a walk 35 centigrades. Museum closed for reconstruction. Pergamon also partially closed. A bit of a shame really for Berlin

Closed for the public as the structure is under renovation, a worth visit and an urban precinct to explore even in it's present condition. The Sculpture square adjacent gives a clear perspective of the erstwhile divide of the city and the urban layers that were...More

Seriously enjoyed our whole experience here. The building works on many levels, and has been restored magnificently. The collection is engrossing and lovingly and thoughtfully presented. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Needed more time. Allow four hours at least for a half decent look. Highly...More

It was built in 1968, and is currently closed for in order to "repair all damaged features and correct serious safety deficits". There was no information on its planned opening.

Although the Museum is currently closed, the building is still well worth a visit. Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and opened in 1968, it is one of his most iconic buildings. The sculptures round the building, including pieces by Henry Moore and Alexander...More

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through
the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which
lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood.
Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city:
upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades
and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone
streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through
little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop
