We already wanted to use this service as used in other cities and enjoyed. Went to buy ticket of a ticket seller, bus pulls up. So we go to get on that bus, he stops us and says need ticket off me first. Then you can get on that bus. He sells us ticket, bus pulls away and he just... More

The big bus was great way to see the highlight of the city, however, many audio jacks did not work on some of the buses. On a positive note, the buses were always on time but there wasn't a sign on the street or sidewalk indicating the bus stop locations which was a huge problem. Next time, we might try... More

We did the 2 day tour. Alexs in the green bus was brilliant and funny. I learn suck a lot about Berlin. The red bus is very tourist and wasn't looking forward the green route but it was actually more enjoyable.

Paid €20 each from hotel for a 1 day ticket. We boarded at the park inn Alexanderplatz.after a few stops we got off at Brandenburg gate and walked to other sights before boarding again.we could have easily walked to these sights and never saw anything else to tempt us off the bus. Save your money and walk

The commentary on this tour was major just bad, but outdated. One of the buses was very old. At each stop there was a 15min wait, long drawn out and I even fell asleep at one point. We did get to see all of the stops in one day .

My friend and I paid for this 2-day Hop on Hop off Tour in Berlin on September 24 & 25, 2016. When we hopped on the first bus on September 24th at about 10am, we were advised that the Tour was being cut short that day due to the marathon, and the last bus was at 2:30pm. We were also... More

We decided to try this to see Berlin. The bus was suppose to arrive in 10 minutes, it didn't, 2 buses past us by before our bus arrived, 15 minutes later. We rode to the Brandenburg Gate, 3rd stop after getting on, and they took a 15 minute break. Then around the corner to the Reichstag and sat there for... More

Easy and cheap way to see the main attractions- easy hop on/ hop off. Buses run every 20 minutes and convenient pick ups. Great way to see everything in one day.

Having done various city bus tours this was the worst commentary. There were lots of silent pauses which is amazing given the amount of history that has taken place in this city. What commentary there was, was a failed comedy act with bizarre inane comments from a weird German/Irish accented duo. Really disappointing lack of knowledge provided.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
