The building is monumental. At its inauguration biggest airport building in the world. Air traffic has been ceased years ago. Runways still here and rest a huge park with all sorts of activities without any cars, buses etc.

This place is a really interesting place to visit, even if just to experience it as a park. Plus there are plenty of signs detailing the importance of the former airport across the last century.

This historic airport with vast sorrounding buildings looks like a graveyard. The fabulous location on the hill, over Kreutzberg it is a prime residential area....it is a paradox to see these extensive facilities dormant of any purposeful activity. The airfield itself is an underuterlised hotch...More

Was here Saturday 8th, the sheer size of this building is amazing, apparently the 5th largest building in Europe. The tour last around two hours. But still amazing.

There aren’t many opportunities to visit a once thriving, historical airport and its air field ( for free ). If you’re not into checking out the inside of the airport, though, people of all ages and families bicycle, picnic, and etc. The operating hours are...More

I can only agree with other people on here, no way to get into the building itself due to security and everything is locked, you can walk around the outside and on the old airfield and get some great photographs. The tour is... More
