Berlin from below...

Descend with us! Experience the history of Berlin from an unconventional perspective! Since 1999, the Berlin Underworlds Association has been offering regular tours into some of the most important underground structures in the city. Although the majority of our tours are in or near Gesundbrunnen station in the north of Berlin, we also offer tours in several other subterranean complexes that are otherwise not publicly accessible.

I did the guided tour number 1 - Dark Worlds, a 90 min tour. Our guide Eran Kedar, was awesome, he made the tour very interesting, funny, and we learnt a lot. You will learn more about the life of berliners during the air-raids, you will go to one of the places where berliners hide during the air-raids, you will... More

Booked tour 1, as it fit in with our plans for the day. It was really interesting and our tour guide (I forgot her name) was funny, informative while still keeping a level of respect for what was on occasion a difficult topic to cover. Only found out about this place by googling things to do when it's raining, but... More

We did the cold war bunker tour and it was excellent. The girl was extremely knowledgeable but also fun and friendly. It was interesting to see a bit of berlin which you wouldn't usually get to see.

Went into Tour #1 thinking it was some kind of urban adventure thing -- turns out it's also one of the best World War II museums in Europe. Our guide took us through a secret tunnel (in a working subway station!) and into a 1945 bomb shelter still in its original state. She told us vivid stories about the construction... More

We booked Tour #1 as it was the only one which fitted the timeframe for us, and it was well worth it. From within the subway station next door we were led down into a bunker, which though not filled with original materials, was nonetheless authentic. We learned a lot about the history of wartime Berlin and of the work... More

Having done Tour Three previously, we were hugely looking forward to tour one. I had recommended this tour company to a lot of friends, and spoken a lot about the great experience we had last time on Tour Three. Tour One was not as impressive. By the guides own admission, the company has replicated an air raid shelter by bringing... More

I went on the Dark World tour with Sara as our guide. First of all, she did an amazing job! She knew a lot about the bunkers and German history, and was pleasant to listen to. I would recommend the tour itself as well, because I found it a unique way to discover and experience Berlin.

We did the dar world tour which left an impression! The german guide was very nice, funny but also very knowledgeable. We would have loved to take another tour but not all tours are available in the winter. Definitely a great experience to get an impression of the horrors and the life of the Berliners during the war who also... More

The bunker is kept as it was during the war with a lot of items and information that will give you the impression that you live this experience in reality... The people giving this 90 minutes tour are very professional and I am sure that this is the best thing to visit if you are looking for experiencing WW2 situation!
