One of the world's great urban parks
At two-thirds the size of New York's Central Park, this is one of the worlds great urban parks. Huge natural areas to wander and cycle around. The Victory Column and it's surrounds and the English Garden were perhaps our favourite parts. You can stroll all the way up to the Brandenburg Gate. Brilliant.

    Worth exploring
Lots to explore. Many statues and features in the gardens to discover. We went early in the morning on a week day and there were loads of cyclists and walkers heading for work. Notice boards every so often, to help you figure out where you are.

    A Historic Park
This is one of the major urban parks in the capitals of the world. It was part of the British sector when Berlin was sectioned off by the allies in WWII. It commences opposite the Brandenburg Gate and is the site of many memorials remembering the dead. It is also very green, beautiful and a gorgeous place to stroll around.

This is a large green space close to the Brandenburg Gate and many other attractions with lots of memorials and different places to just sit and walk.

Excellent park even in winter, quite a few animal statues and memorials to see. So it is well worth a visit, with other sites close by, Russian Memorial, Victory Column, Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate.

This is a nice park, that is close to a myriad of major attractions: Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and the free Holocaust memorial. My friends and I enjoyed taking respite in the shade from the hot sun, reading our books and eating our lunches in the grass.

We walked through here from the Brandenburg Gate and stumbled across a children’s playground- it was great and kept our two children entertained for ages! Nice and shaded, which was needed in the heat!
A lovely place.

The highlight of my trip to Berlin was scootering through the Tiergarten with my daughter and cousin looking for the stand by me tree. Which we found! And we tree hugged. The park was a little dirty with beer bottles around but it could have been from the festival that was nearby the night prior. Worth riding a bike or walking or scootering through if you’re there on a nice day!!

It was super dirty. Beer bottles, trash, and tons of dead scooters thrown around. I suspect this was because of the Pride Parade that happened the night before, and I understand it’s hard to clean it all up in one night, especially on a Sunday, but they could have at least made some rules to make sure there was less litter during the parade, because the trash brought done my experience. Other than that, there were lots of statues and paths to explore, so I suspect on a normal day it’s worth it.

It would have been wonderful, had it not been that dirty. It was impossible to use most of the benches as the area around was littered with broken glass from the bottles left around the waste baskets. I can understand leaving the bottles separately so that they can be recycled, but littering the entire area around the baskets with bottles does not seem to do much to help. But it isn't just the bottles. Plastic, papers, wipes and lots of other rubbish are to be seen all around.
Other than that it is a beautiful garden, the little boats at Neuer See are lots of fun and the restaurant there is also very good.

The park was amazing, we walked through it from the entrance of the Berlin Zoo to the Brandenburg Gate. It is a little bit long (3.5km) walking, but you can enjoy the flora and fauna of the park.
The fascinating Victory Column is located in the middle of the journey. You better to stop and take photos in front and from the top of it. The entrance fee into the Column is just 4 EUR.
The walking through the park ends at the Brandenburg Gate with its breathtaking view. We were lucky, as it was the time of Special Olympiad in Berlin, and some events were organized just behind the Brandenburg Gate. So we enjoyed viewing some competition over there.
