This is an eye-popping gallery of FREE street art with a relic of Communist Eastern Europe as the canvas. Bring comfortable walking shoes because this is the longest open-air gallery in the world. The art is politically charged and provocative, and so colorful in both...More

This is the best gallery in the world, and you can even find an odd artist or two peddling wares and music. You must go to the East Side Gallery.

You soon gain a true perspective on what life in East Berlin must have been like. Almost certain death if you tried to get over, heartache at not being able to see relations or friends and wondering if ever it would be possible, pondered on...More

Really interesting and doesn’t take too long to walk down the main stretch. The graffiti changes every so often as some of the walls were completely different to when I went about 3 years ago. Eating can be difficult around here but if you’re looking...More

This wall, which remains to be a symbol of the Cold War, is a 1.3km open-air gallery of iconic and colorful murals. Easy to get to with public transportation. It is free. Take a passport with you and in the small souvenir store along the...More

In warschauer strasse, near the most famous clubs of Berlin! The area is crowded with young people, drug dealers are around the corner!

It was one of the first things someone recommended when they heard I am going to Berlin. It's history and art all in one. The paintings have messages hidden or not and are worth seeing. We had lovely weather so the walk was amazing. It...More

East Side Gallery is shown in a small village north of Berlin. Please do not use this map and address.

It was nice to see this part of the wall but it was very crowded and defaced with graffiti ... I would avoid it if I was traveling with small children.

Well worth a visit to see the remainder of the Wall which comprises the East Side Gallery. Gives you an idea of what it must have been like when the city was divided.

East Side Gallery is 1,3 km. of The Berlin Wall close to Warschauer Station. As mentioned above you must turn left and walk down the hill, then you'll get there. Prints with "East Side Gallery" on the ground will show you... More

It's not greatly lit, but you can still see it quite clearly during the night (if you have decent sight). If you want to check out the full details and/or don't have the best pair of eyes, better to go during the day ;-)
