Great place to wonder around. Excellant dining options. Good shopping - upscale and mid Deanne. Loads of independent shops. Lots of alleyways and court yards. Resteraunts under bridge archways. Ann’s Frank and Otto museums here aswell. Preety gritty and urban. Walking distance to synagogue and museum island. Great atmosphere here.

Nothing special from my point of view. If you don,t go you,ll miss nothing. Probaly because most buildings around are more modern architecture.

An architectural gem of a series of connected courtyards. What we now describe as mixed use - retail, residential, office all jumbled up. And of course entirely pedestrian. Definitely brings focus to the modern idea of the 15 minute city. Some interesting shops including one devoted to ampelmannchen - the East German traffic light symbol adopted after the fall of the Wall. Entertaining little shop.

This complex has been completely neglected by the communists and was only a shadow of its former self in 1989. Nowadays it has become one of Berlin`s architectural sights in the city center. While the complex is mainly residential, in the first floor of the courtyards accommodate shops and bars.

There are many nice interesting shops in this courtyard. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to visit all of them, but I will definitely come back next time in Berlin.

Busy during tourist season and I imagine it’s beautifully decorated at Christmas time (but where in Berlin isn’t)? The first courtyard has beautiful tiles the rest of the courtyards are bland. Expensive boutiques, shops and eateries…..nice to wander through if you’re in the area

This place is somewhat twofolded.
It is a tourist magnet and to crowded sometimes.
But it is also a lovely spot with beautiful shops.
Advice simply is: Do yourself a favour and do NOT go there if it is crowded.
We go there every time we are in Berlin.

We will go there again.

This area in former east Berlin didn't leave much impression on me. It's a mixture of old and new, east and west.
There're plenty of bars, as well dining options, from the cheap street ones to the middle priced. Most interesting were some alternative galleries and unusual shops set in many small courtyards and interconnecting alleys.

This is an area with lovely architecture. There are lots of little interconnecting courtyards with lovely little bars, shops and cafes / restaurants. Lots of character and a must see for anyone new to Berlin!

There are 8 little gardens. You can find some shops and some bars. At night it's very quiet over here, so come in the day time for a visit!
