The One show

This show was awesome of dressings by Jean-Paul Gaultier, performances and stagings. The manuscript and story was confusing. We did not get the main clue.

The costumes were really good and made it for us. There were some rather bizarre dances/songs in German which we enjoyed less. As others have said the girl in the hoop and the girl with the ribbons are the stars of the show. We're in our 20s and its perhaps more aimed at an older clientele. Also dont worry about... More

Went there to see "The One". A grand kind of cabaret show with costumes made by Jean Paul Gaultier. The show takes of in full flight.... Sadly it crashes before long. The costumes are mostly very beautiful and charismatic. However the leading man and lady are quite boring and unengaging. Not really able to get me engaged in them as... More

I was at THE ONE SHOW and was....perfect! Great music, dancers, nice atmosphere. It was more than perfect if all the songs were in english because not all of us understand the german language but was nice and if you will come in Berlin you must go to Friedrichstadt Palast to see one of their shows.

We saw "The One" there and it is truely one of the best stages for musicals or show events of that type.

Fabulous show in a beautiful theatre, we thoroughly enjoyed the show the costumes were amazing, the show was fast paced and absolutely brilliant. The girl with the hoop was amazing as was the whole show. Everything is so well organised from ordering your drinks and canapés for intermission with everything set out on a table for you at the break.... More

We enjoyed a very entertaining cabaret performance of THE ONE Grand Show in Berlin’s iconic and beautiful Friedrichstadt-Palast theater. The costumes were absolutely exquisite, the dancers amazing and the performance was great, centered around a common theme (visions from a young man's dreams).

The show was not that good. Especially to those who are regular with those held in London and Broadway. Some dancing lessons to the boys would cause no harm. It is more like a ClubMed show rather than a Broaway one. They will make you put your jacket on hold and charge you 1.5 Euros. I had to suffer cold... More

Thank you for your review. We do of course strive to ensure that every single guest leaves the Palast utterly enthralled. Indeed, for the vast majority of people, we succeed in this. With half a million very different guests every year, 95% are positive, 5% like you are not. In cultural circles (where opinions tend to differ widely and are... More

Last night we certainly were entertained! It is an assault on the senses! Where do you look? What's coming next? The dancers, the high swinging trapeze acts, the costumes. The theatre itself is beautiful, the staff polite- a well oiled machine. Transport to the venue is wonderfully easy with the underground less than 100 metres away!

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
