A beautiful building and interesting to learn that this university has produced the greatest amount of Nobel prize winners! A lot of famous names passed though here, including Karl Marx and Einstein. Very interesting, and sad, to hear about the book burning and empty library.
We stopped here on our hop on hop off- bus tour. The history of this university is remarkable. Many significant people have been studying and teaching here such as Einstein.

Berlin has sooo many great buildings, hard to imagine given history, but the standard of so many is impressive, Humbolt University included.
Great beautiful and imposing building around central Berlin, clean and historic if you realize that Karl Marx studied here!
Humboldt University is famous by many great minds that taught there, but also because Nazi's burned books at the square in front of it. The building itself is impressive, try to see it at night during the October Festival of Light, see attached photo.
