Quite a good display of waxworks, nothing compared to New York though

21 euros each adult, 16 per child - so a whopping 74 meant we were then tempted to pay the 100 for this plus legoland as the kids were so keen ... But really 100euros for a family day out is a rip off but worse was it was okay but 1. Lots of Out dated or german known only... More

If you've ever been to Madame Tussauds in Vegas, you will probably be disappointed in the one in Berlin. The wax figures aren't done very well so they don't look as real as they should. Still, it was an ok experience and we had a good time taking a lot of pictures.

My daughter and I decided to visit owing to the fact that I have not visited a Madam Tussauds for about 36 years. She had previously visited the New York one and raved about it so we decided it would be something fun to do whilst in Berlin. The museum is easy to find as it's not far from Brandenburg... More

we been nearly alone at the exhibition and this was very pleasant. We loved the picture (extra charge) which has been taken for us with a wig and extra big glasses, but we didn't bought the picture from the entrance with the Trabbi. You are allowed to touch the dolls and do pictures with any of them (except one)

But the price is rather high. I have only been to one other Madame Tusads, in London. i wasn't really impressed. I just went to this one on a weekend visit to Berlin with a girlfriend for her 30th birthday. She has never been, so we gave it a try. I was actually impressed, these figured were much more interactive.... More

Located right on "Unter den Linden". A bit smaller than the London Madame Tussauds but very interactive and fun. They invite you to touch and participate with all the features. E.g. you can do an IQ test with Einstein, participate in Who wants to be a Millionaire and much more. Everything's in both German and English, so no problem for... More

Very expensive attraction £21 euro each or £16 euro with welcome card! Would expect another 20 wax figures, in more imaginative scenarios with 50 less visitors to make this an enjoyable, affordable trip. Staff were very pleasant though!

It is a very good attraction. We had lots of fun there, playing with the statues. It is all very well kept and the statue in the majority look very real. There is a part where you can see the Hitler statue, which is very thrilling. At the end I just thought it was too quicky, so not sure if... More

Berlin was our first of Madame Tussaud's points. And it did its best! Nice location, friendly staff, really interesting choice of celebrities (both international and national ones) and many-many interactive attractions which also made our day! A little piece of advice: Do not take musical quiz as additional service to the ticket, you'll find things to do even without it... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
