Great way to see city centre sights and good exercise as well. Our Canadian guide was very knowledgeable and gave the group a fascinating insight into the history behind Berlin's landmarks. Although the tour lasts over two and a half hours it seemed to pass quicker with the speed which it covered the city centre area with frequent stops and... More

We went on 2 over the past 3 days. One to Sachsenhausen concentration camp and the sights of mainly east Berlin. EXCELLENT! We had Rona going to Sachsenhausen as our guide - walk fast but for a 55 year I could keep up. He was a wealth of information and I really got the feeling of what it was like... More

Thanks to Jeremy being so responsive, he was able to set me up with Heather Ellis for a 5-hour tour. I brought two co-workers with me and neither had ever explored a city with a tour guide. They are both now hooked and want to continue doing so in the future; that's how good Heather was. She was patient with... More

This 4 hour walking tour is a must, especially for people new to Berlin. Our tour guide Rick was superb - knowledgeable, entertaining and very patient with our many questions. The tour covers the city's main attractions and memorial sites and provided us with a mental and visual map of the city for the remainder of our visit to Berlin.... More

Jeremy was fantastic. My family and I (five total, three young adults plus two grown-ups) spent 7 days in Berlin ove the 2016 Christmas holiday. Jeremy delivered everything he promised. He met us at our rental apartment and sat down at our kithcen table to explain the day-long tour and laid out options based on our interests. We did tons... More

Pre-booked this tour from Australia for myself, wife and two adult children well knowing the weather would be unpredictable in the first week of the year. Even the cold and rain didn't spoil the experience of Nicolai walking us through the highlights and historic backdrop of some of the most important events in modern history (spiced up with some of... don't have much to compare against since it's the only personally guided walking tour i've ever taken , but can honestly say i was astounded not only was jeremy knowledgeable and informative, but perhaps more importantly, he was: personable, amusing, and very likable sensitive and understanding, and not judgmental about some of the uninformed questions i posed enthusiastically sharing of... Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
