Came across this artwork while playing Ingress, it's a portal too. Nice idea, five steps to peace with a stone from every continent, nice execution too, smooth stone and interesting inscriptions. Photogenic. Nice find.

The Global Stone Project is a project to collect five large rocks from all the continents as a five steps to peace. The large (over 30 tons each) are arranged roughly in a semicircle. To be honest, this project and sculpture is simply too abstract for such an ambitious endeavour. Kids like to climb the rocks though.

Plus one for the sentiments though.

The Global Stone Project is a worldwide peace project. It consists of ten stones, five stones are placed in five continents.

The other five stones are placed in Tiergarten Park.

We came across this as we were walking at the park and thought the stones were a good photo opportunity.

While walking through the park I saw these large stones and decided to have a look. I'm a big fan of stones of all sorts and found the stones to be interesting. there's a small board with a little bit of information about the global stone Project but they need to have information at each set of stones so you know where they're from and what they represent. It looks like some of the Stones have had writing on them but due to weather they have become faint. With a very little effort this place could become a lot more.
