A traditional late gothic cathedral both outside and inside. This Church is not as extravagant as many of Europes huge monumental statement churches - but still it's filled With interesting art and wonderful stone carvings.

I've always loved having this beautiful church as the backdrop of market square. .....and nothing is more deserving a visit during the Wurzburg Christmas festival.

The Marienkapella stills stands and endures to share some of it's past beauty and meaning since it's inception. Even though it has been reconstructed due to WWII, many of the statues on the columns are gone, the pulpit hasn't been replaced, and the main upper...More

This church is located at Marktplatz (central square). It is one of many churches located in wurzburg to check. Nothing spectacular to say. There are markets here and plenty of places to get some tasty food.

This chapel is right off the square and is worth a stop. Above the main alter, you'll find three exquisite paintings depicting religious themes. The stained glass behind the altar is of a more modern design and attractive.
