This is a great part of the wall around the city of Rothenburg . It is great to use as a vantage point as well as looking up.This is a special attraction about the old town.

It is the furthest away gate if you are walking from South, but also the most beautiful. As well as with the others, you cam climb the stairs up, walk along the walls, and enjoy the view.

This is but one of many towers along the medieval wall, but it is the most interesting. It would be even more so if we could have gone to the top.

Klingentor is one of many towers along the town wall of Rothenburg. Next to this tower there is a stair where you can climb to the town wall and take a walk to explore the town.

The Tower/gate/wall at the north end of the old town is a beautiful historic monument that is worth a visit. Near a large parking lot on the north end and you can climb it making it a great stop on your tour of Rothenburg.

It is quite interesting how low the walks are on the walls. you forget that each generation is getting taller and taller! Worth a short stroll along a section of walls from one gate to another to get the feel of the way they were...More

I started my wall walk at Galgentor going clockwise, so Klingentor was one of the "other end" bold features of what was a truly memorable experience. Whilst narrow, it is still a regularly used roadway to enter the city

this was a very interesting part of the city wall, great photo stop and easy to find and easy to climb up stairs to walls. It is probably one of the more famous of the towers.
