Totally quiet when I visited. I paid 6e entrance plus 3e for the right to take photographs. I don't mind paying this for a local museum and this is special. Set in a former convent cloister you feel the history as soon as you walk...More

This museum (cost €6 to enter) has lots of local artifacts, Since most description do not have English translation, you need to read German. Otherwise it is not worth the money and your time.

A fascinating museum housed since 1935 in a former convent and a welcome escape from the busy streets outside. On arrival, I was provided me with a guide in English with floorplans, a short history of the museum and a self guided tour (just follow...More

The museum is off the beaten path and easy to miss. We were one of only two small groups of people in the entire museum. The museum is in an old convent (worth walking through for the old building alone) and has some great exhibits....More

We were surprised by the lovely collection of this fine museum tucked away in Rothenberg. Interesting exhibits from the city's history and the Medieval period in general with coats of arms, ceramics, and other fine collections.

The artifacts were interesting. From the stone age, to luther and the middle ages. However there wasnt much English explanation which made things pretty meaningless.

Stumbled across the museum half by accident as we were walking round the city walls and decided to look in. Great museum set in a former cloister so you have the lovely high ceilings and well laid out gardens as you look around. Interesting displays...More

We weren't planning on visiting this place, but my son (17yo) found it on the city map and led us here. From the outside it is very unassuming. Once you go inside, you are in a very tiny lobby. The lady that was working there...More

I loved this museum! The building and artifacts are well presented and give a good backdrop to the town. I was there on a Thursday morning and almost had the place to myself! Most of what they have is in German with very brief English...More
