We weren't planning on visiting this place, but my son (17yo) found it on the city map and led us here. From the outside it is very unassuming. Once you go inside, you are in a very tiny lobby. The lady that was working there...More

I loved this museum! The building and artifacts are well presented and give a good backdrop to the town. I was there on a Thursday morning and almost had the place to myself! Most of what they have is in German with very brief English...More

This is an excellent small museum. Well displayed. Well curated. If you came to Rothenburg for the middle ages, this is a must see. Amble information in English. Furniture, tools, weapons, sculpture, all in a former convent.

Convenient location, but there are better things you could do with your time, like St. Jacob's Church. Lots of department store mannequins dressed in period costume. Would really benefit from a major renovation.

When I got to this museum, I was excited until I discovered that it cost almost as much to take photos as to get in (entrance is 4.5 euro and to take photos is an additional 3 euro). This put a damper on my joy...More
