Nördlingen's main church is an impressive Gothic edifice, worth a quick look. Most impressive, however, is the view from the bell tower (nicknamed "Daniel"), accessible by a separate entrance.

The church was right next to our hotel and our first point to visit after arriving in the historic town. The tower has its own history with a watchman still shouting a message to the town folk at night - every night.

I went in thinking just another church but actually I was totally blown away by the beauty of the clean lines, space and height, white,.... There is also funny little detail like the carvings on the choir stalls.... Loved it!!!

The city itself and the chirch are definitely worth visiting - that is the spirit of clean, well-managed and nice-looking Germany.

This large, commanding church in the centre of Nordlingen has a rather simplistic and plain style, both outside as well as inside......yet is still picturesque and definitely merits a stop if you are visiting Nordlingen. Don't miss out on a chance to climb the church...More

One of the first Protestant churches in Bavaria. Nice interior and centrally located in the town. Worth a look.

We probably would have been more impressed with Nordlingen had we not come straight from Dinkelsbuhl. The town seems much larger and has more contemporary building mixed in the medieval ones so is not as impressive. The church is massive but was not open so...More

A quick stop as we wanted to go up the tower but sadly it was shut. However, it was still an enjoyable visit as the church is nicely decorated inside and surprisingly large - larger than it looks from the outside! Because there is only...More

We stopped in this walled city to specifically visit this church. Their Christmas Market was setting up just outside and I've been enjoying that from town to town. Every single church we have been in offers something special to see. This one did not disappoint...More
