Small but beautiful garden, we didn't visit the inside but even the gardens and the view is worth the small climb to the castle (only 10 minutes up). A walk around the lake is also very recommended!

We booked both castle tours in Fussen. Well worth it.. You need to walk up the slope next to the Monastery to access it. While waiting for the guided tour, you can stroll around the exterior and gardens. Your views of the town and surrounding...More

We stumbled upon this castle at the end of a day and paid the entry fee. It offered a gorgeous view of the town. Well worth discovering.

We were told that it was closed on a Monday but we intended to visit only the exterior which was still accessible. One needs to walk up the slope next to St Mang Monastery to access it. The exterior is lovely and provides good photo...More

Not a top drawer attraction but worth checking out. As previously stated probably better to just examine the exterior and save your money by not paying the entry fee

The outside of this castle is very impressive. The inside was another matter. Save your money. All you really got to see was a gallery with a few pics hanging on the wall. 80% of the castle you are not allowed in.

This castle is a great escape from the rush and crowds of Schwangau. There's no furniture but an interesting art gallery and the intricately carved ceiling of the Great Hall is quite beautiful. The windows open out over Fuessen to appreciate the colours of the...More
