The most beautiful fountain in Augsberg, although not impressive if you have seen these types of fountains before. The square where it is located is quite nice, and a good place for eating and shopping.

Very detailed & extravagant making this huge fountain impressive. Roadworks were on going at the time of my visit.

History in pastels and shopfronts beneath,and cobble between. Simply ideal for the photographer, the medieval buff and the modern consumer ... or all three in one

It is very hard to analize the Maximilian strasse fountains. One is nicer than the other. This one was made at the end of the 16.th century, the main figur is a naked Herkules.

This is the best renaissance sculpture in Augsburg, made for the 1500 anniversary of Augsburg (thats already more than 500 years ago) World class!
