Based on the reviews I've read, I didn't expect over-much from this zoo. I was very pleasantly surprised! The enclosures, on the whole, look well thought out and nicely maintained. We particularly liked the tiger enclosure, with plenty of water for the cats to play about in! There's also the opportunity to walk through the Lemur enclosure but we visited... More

The Zoo Augsburg is small but very well maintained. The enclosures for some animals are too small and old-fashioned but the Zoo informs very well how they are planing to expand existing enclosures. And the infrastructure in and around the enclosures are in very good shape. We visited on the weekend and the Zoo was very busy with families (dogs... More

This zoo can be seen in about 2 hours, so really good for a morning or afternoon. It is also near the botanic garden, so they could be combined for a trip. Lots of variety and nice enclosures for the animals.

We visited during the week this summer. Very busy with coaches parked across many parking spaces so we had to park a short walk away on the main road. No credit cards accepted here and no atm so make sure you have cash. Lots of animals to see, bit low on the animal enrichment side of things. Nice little gift... More

We had a lovely relaxing walk around the Augsburg Zoo. The animals included lions, tigers and elephants. It costs about 10 Euros for adults and 5 Euros for kids. The grounds are lovely and you can have a beer and a fresh pretzel afterwards at the Zoo's beer garden or from the kiosk if you're peckish.

A clean and tidy zoo. Nice areas for the animals. The zoo isn't to big. You'll see in the zoo in around 2 hours. Fun to do when you have time to spare in augsburg,

We visited this Zoo, which is appr. 2,5 km from Augsburgs City center. A fancy - older - typical city Zoo. Easy to walk around, quite some nice rare animals not typical for all zoo's. Partly older animal-accommodation, partly re-newed.

Augsburg Zoo is very family friendly and a very enjoyable day out. The entrance fee is very reasonable and there are good attractions for children like the train ride, and the playground. The resturant is very good value as well.

We had a great visit to this Zoo even though the weather was not on our side. Best of all we got to see the baby rhino.
