View at the top is amazing - and that's before you even go up the huge tower. Worth it for that alone. Inside the castle itself is OK, but it lost some of itself when it was rebuilt after WWII.

Castle is very impressive and interesting to see where Nuremburg trials were held. Like the trams in the city. Nice and clean city, well maintained.

Visited the castle on a cold, rainy April day. There is a bit of information about the history of the castle, the usual medieval weapons and books/papers and a big tower outside (which we couldn't visit that day). Given the whole old fortress-city is quite...More

It comes down to have you been to another Germany old town? If not, then it is a yes. If you have and enjoyed the other one, then I would go. If you do like seeing old buildings/walls or moats, then do not go. I like old... More

Two key areas to visit: old Town and the Holy Roman Emperors Castle (walking tour); and the former Nazi Party grounds and HQ(museum now).
