If you are in relatively good shape, I highly recommend that you get the combo ticket at the castle. This allows you to view the museum, the deep well and climb the tower. Climbing the tower gives you a 360 view of all the city and you came get great photos from up there. The museum starts off going through... More

The staff here are very friendly, the guy at the ticket counter speaks great English and was very funny. It was a reasonable price for the ticket, we got the ticket which allows entry to everything and we thought it was worth it, 7Euros. The best part for us, was the deep well! the demonstration they do here is in... More

The Kaiserburg contains several castles and the Pentagonal tower which is the oldest structure in N'berg. We loved watching the candles being lowered into the deep well (over 300 feet) and listening to the story behind its construction. The tour of the imperial castle is worth the time as its exhibits chronicle the history of the place. It is quite... More

Went to Nuremberg for the Christmas market and took the time to visit the castle. We didn't have time to see everything but what we saw was very interesting. Great views of the city and surrounding areas. A must see.

Very interesting but a bit confusing special exhibition captions in English and German but rest of exhibits only captioned in German.Very colourful though and views from top of Sinwell tour are fantastic make sure you buy a ticket that includes it. Very steep climb and down. Good value.

This is not an impressive nor magnificent castle in Europe but historically important. They however have a big collection of medieval military items. Please come if you happen to be a fan.

One of the first castles to be built on the top of a hill, the Emperors/King's Castle commands an unobstructed view of the city of Nurnberg. Largely destroyed during WWII, the majority of the original castle, towers, and buildings have been restored. It is well worth the climb from the Market to the entrances to the Castle to see the... A bit of an uphill trek from the city center by foot. Highly recommend taking public transport if you're infirm. This impressive castle was once the seat of the Holy Roman Empire. You can tour some of the halls and follow the castle's story, as well as see some costumes, weapons and armor from the middle ages through to the... More
