We ducked into the Spielzeugmuseum when it started raining. The price was reasonable. Audio tours are available, but the self-guided tour was still interesting. Be sure to pay attention to the optical illusions in the stairwells.

After seeing so many wonderful buildings, it was nice to take a quick trip back in time with toys. The layout is a little confusing, but it is enjoyable to turn a corner and find another little display. Although we didn't have children with us, I'm sure the top floor interactive room would be a big hit with them.

It was nice to see how toys improved from the stone-age to the XXI. century. This 4 or 5 floor museum is a good choice not only for children, but for adults too. And you can't imagine how big it is, so don't be suprised if you go in and will come out after just 2 hours ;)

Nice place for the kids to spend some indoor time. Very organised with different floors exhibiting different types of toys. Some interactive exhibits to engage the kids. The top floor was a great idea with games for the kids to enjoy.

This was a great collection of antique dolls & toys. And the doll houses were amazing. We used the audio guide & picked the exhibits we wanted to learn about. Good coffee and cheesecake at the museum cafe.

I'm over 40 years and still love toys and toy museums. At first I was sceptic about this one, but it turned out to be very Good. This sort of museums are normaly specialized. This has a big asset of incredible toy furniture, kitchens and tecnical toys. Nuremberg was famous for mechanical toys, train models and steam engine toys. These... More

A very rich collection of all kind of toys. You can spend quite some time, remembering and feeling as a small child. There is also a nice small garden.

As far as I'm concerned this is a "Must See". There are 3 floors of wonderfully designed toys dating back to the 11th century...maybe further. Don't be deceived by the first floor. The amazing things are on the 2nd floor. Dolls houses like you could never imagine. The 3rd floor contains toys you will recognize from the 1900 - 2000.... More

Nice overall museum. Small child enjoyed it, especially the play area. Most write ups are in German only. Only disappointment was model train wasn't running. Can get thru in under an hour if in a rush.

As a huge history fan I enjoyed this museum. I must say that my kids did not seem to be interested by this site when we were there. However, I saw other kids around that seemed to enjoy this museum.
