This place is huge, and is free of charge on Wednesdays from 6-9 pm. There are loads of items to see and range from modern to ancient. However, the museum doesn't have superb/star artifacts to show off, which is the reason why it gets 4...More

This many-faceted museum helped tie in so many themes we encountered on our Rhine/Main/Danube cruise, that we consider it a must-see. From Roman artifacts to modern applied arts, from medieval arms to scientific instruments, you will receive a high quality scanning immersion into western civilization...More

The museum is huge and has an extensive range of artefacts from musical instruments to medieval art to advertisements from the 1930s.... seemingly endless, so hence many visits needed to see everything. However, it s a great place to wander for an hour or so....More

We have been to this museum three times, and there is never enough time to see everything. Decide when you get there what is most important and do that first. This is the largest museum of German culture in the world, and has over 1.3...More

It is an amazing collection of art, cultural objects, documents, fashion and clothing, toys, and everyday objects, all related to German-speaking cultures. It is...More

Large museum with a focus on medieval and early modern art. Also special exhibitions. A large and great museum - take your time, at least four hours, if you have never been there before.
