    Wow!!
Terrific museum. I had no idea it was so large. Rent the audio guide for 2 euros. There is a one hour highlight walk, or you can just punch in the number on lots of items. (Or if you are a museum nerd like me, do both!) The audio guide offers several languages, including English.

Excellent display of arts and crafts through the centuries
Great space with a plethora of interesting exhibits embracing all forms arts and crafts and historical periods. Excellent display of armor and weaponry, and pretty good floor devoted to 20th Century art. Wide range of ceramics, woodwork and other forms of crafts. Enjoyable hours here.

    Excellent museum with great variety
Excellent museum. We spent about 2 hours looking at the various art and about 45 minutes in the lovely garden Cafe. The most famous works are some Albrech Durer originals (this is his hometown) and a Rembrandt self portrait. We didn't get the English audio guide but there are descriptions in English next to most displays.

    Wow! Unbelievable
Very large and almost overwhelming museum. It had an incredible amount of items to see. We did get lost a few times and one of the docents helped us to find the music instruments which were fascinating. We did skip some areas as there was just too much to see. We were there a few hours and could have spent longer. The audio guide MIGHT have been QR code reader, as a heads up to take your phone.

Great Museum with Excellent Arms and Armor Collection
This is an incredible, large, and diverse museum. I really enjoyed the arms and armor collection, the scientific tools collection, and the Roman and Dark Ages collections. There are tons of other collections too such as art, decorative objects, toys, musical instruments, sleighs, etc. It is well worth visiting and a must-do in Nuremberg.

    Nuremberg Must-do!
A magnificent museum with a stellar collection. Be warned— you WILL get lost, but you’ll have fun doing so. So much art from so many time periods along with countless treasures from some of the great masters of the Germanic world make this a must-do in Nuremberg. I loved it so much that when I ran out of time on my first visit I came back the next day to see more! The baroque/renaissance/enlightenment section is definitely the highlight
Dear Michael V, Thank you very much. We appreciate your feedback very much. Kind regards, Your GNM team

    Amazing Museum in Nuremberg
Wonderful museum with a great exhibitions and objects from prehistory and early history; Middle Ages; late middle ages; musical instruments; renaissance baroque; crafts and medicine; fashion and clothing since 1700; folk art; arms and armor hunting and more. The staff were so kind and friendly guiding how to get the most from the museum. You need 3 hours or more to see all the museum. They have a family plan which makes it affordable$14. We strongly recommend it.

A truly amazing museum for lovers of history and well worth spending time here.
This museum contains the oldest preserved globe, as well as one of the four Golden Hats, and many other treasures besides. The exhibits go from the Stone Age, through the Bronze Age, Roman era, Wandering of the Peoples, the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Reformation, and into the early Modern Era. It is a very impressive place indeed.

This was one of the best cultural history museums I've visited. The exhibitions cover a wide range of topics spanning thousands of years, from Prehistory to the 20th century. Thus, one can learn about the political history of German-speaking people, military history, religion, crafts and arts, medicine, etc.
Some exhibitions were closed due to renovations, but that shouldn't be a problem since it's impossible to see all exhibitions in one day (I mean seeing, not just walking through them)
The exhibitions are very detailed, there's a lot of information and what surprised me the most was that all of it was in English as well. One might expect to find this in a big city such as Berlin or Munich, but for a city of Nuremberg's size, this sure was a pleasant surprise.
There are audio guides that I haven't used since that would have only taken us longer.

Only one thing that could be improved in my opinion: more English books in the museum shop. Also, maybe more souvenirs specific to the exhibitions, since most of the souvenirs there were quite generic to other museums.
