We didn't go inside but were in the Nuremberg HauptMarkt just before midday and heard it was worth while watching the church clock, strike midday. Ok, it is not as grand as the Glockenspeil of Munich, but is well worth while seeing.

The church is located in the center of the Altstadt. It was collapsed during WW2 and was rebuild in the original Gothic style. This is also famous for its Christmas markets which are placed in the open place in front of the church. The church...More

This is worth your time for a visit to this old church. Just looking at the architecture and knowing the history of Germany, it is amazing how the churches have been rebuilt. Worth a visit !

A lovely old church that sits in the plaza that hosts the Christmas Market. It is open to the public through a side door on the right side of the building. Worth visiting and a good place to warm up while visiting the many stalls.

Amazing to see the reconstruction following war damage. The church and alterpiece are beautiful and a must-see if your in Altstadt Nuremberg.

Quite sparse inside and I was surprised to learn that the church was designed by Peter Parler of St Vitus Cathedral 'fame'. Makes a good break from the Christmas markets.

Located on the middle of the Alstadt. If you are in Nuremburg it is a must see. The Glockenspiel on the church tower is neat

This is a nice looking church with a centerpiece clock. did not go up the view point by the clock. it is nice to see at night when it is lighted.

Beautiful exterior that dominates the center square of the medieval town and if you're there at noon, be sure to enjoy the glockenspiel, but the interior isn't much to look at.
