During our visit the church and street were under construction/ rehab so we did not see it under the best conditions. However, Theatinerkirche is worth a visit an only a very short walk north of the Residence Museum. The church interior is surprisingly simplistic but...More

Built in the 1600s and rebuilt after the Second World War, the façade is beautiful and looks like any ordinary church. When you enter, you'll notice the white décor and statues. It is as if they didn't have time to color them. That's what gives...More

This is a beautifully impressive Catholic church. It's built entirely of a white marble and it is sparsely decorated when compared to other, similar buildings. It's worth a visit.

Amazing church inside made of marble that looks completely different outside. Make sure you visit the Palais Preysing lane with the "gold" coloured cobble stones in memory of the victims of the SS in WW2.
