Great town gate.

This is just a place you walk under and see. It is in the walking/shopping district so it's easy to get to and enjoy. you don't go in it.

Walking from Stachus to the Marienplatz this gate can't be missed. It's fine piece of architecture in the middle of the street stuck between the apartment buildings.

this is the gate that gives you access to the historical centre of the city and it is really pitoresque. It feels really nice going through the gate and one can only imagine how it was back in the day to do it. You will have a lot of shops, restaurants and cafes on this street, also the trainstation. The Karlsplatz is one block away from Munich Central Station. You could also visit it by their underground train, but that's quite unnecessary given how close it is to the Central Munich station. This place is always buzzing with tourists and is the biggest shopping area of Munich. Gives you a great Munich vibe!

The city gate was close to our hotel and its an entry going straight to the City Hall and Marienplatz, which is the main street of Munich.

Enter the city center from a typical European castle entrance is truly appreciable! You just go though it with tons of people on the middle or you surround it in the halls.

A city gate in good repair not as decorative as the Isartor gate but still worth walking to see and from here you can see the main street through the town to Marienplatz

Nice walk along Marienplatz and Karls Gate is along the way to the central of Marienplatz. There are lots of shops around Marienplatz and good place for photo taking.
