The Bavarian State Chancellery is based in the building that houses the personal offices of the chancellery staff. Erected between 1989 and 1993 around the central dome of the former Bavarian Army Museum, which had been built in 1905 at the site of the Hofgartenkaserne barracks and was heavily damage thed during World War II.

A fine building showing combination of historicist and modern architecture of glass and steel...

This is an important building in the regional government of Germany but it is somewhat hidden between the Residenz and the English Garden. We happen upon it after cutting through the Hofgarten to see the WWI Memorial. The building itself is an interesting combination of an historic US statehouse, complete with dome, and a cutting edge tech related building. I will say it is a beautiful backdrop to the memorial.

This impressive looking building is the official offices of the Bavarian State Chancellery. Designed by the architect Ludwig Mellinger in the Italian Renaissance style. Much of what remains of the original building is the front and back facades after the building was largely destroyed in World War II. The two side wings were torn off and the more modern glass halls have been superbly integrated into the main structure.

The building isn't really only to the public, but it's visible from either Hofgarten or the main road, Karl-Schnagal Ring. Just in front of the building is the Bavarian War Memorial honouring the Bavarian soldiers who died in World War One. Worth a look if in the Hofgarten area

This was a striking building that attracted a lot of attention from visitors. The green space in front was used by locals as a place to relax. There were two information boards that explained the history and current use of the building. There was a visitor information room at the east entrance. I wouldn’t make it a destination, but it was impressive and I appreciated it when in the area.

The building itself looks quite big and well design. At front of it, there is a nice not big garden. between the garden and the building there is a memorial of a soldier of stone, which is really good made. I did not try to go inside the Kanzelei and i do not know if it is possible

The Bayerische Staatskanzlei (Bavarian State Chancellery) is a mix of modern glass architecture built in 1989-1993 around the central dome of the former Bavarian Army Museum, which had been built in 1905 at the site of the Hofgartenkaserne barracks. It is an attractive structure worth stopping to take a photo of whilst visiting the tranquil Hofgarten and the impressive 'Kriegerdenkmal' (war memorial) that sits in front of the Chancellery.

This building has transparent glass walls signifying the transparency of the local government. Beautiful architecture and a lot of world war history. Great for a short visit.

Another one of those places that is nice to go to and see. A political and historic building with nice architecture. That's about it. Don't plan too much time there.
