Take a city tour and enjoy the sights. For 13 Euro in about two hours you are going to see all attractions.

Germany and basically Europe is full of this Historical Landmarks that one has to stop and at least take the expected selfie. This is one of those stops. Although do not make the same mistake I made and not look at the other side of the Gate, you know the side destroyed by WWII. (Bad tourist....sigh)

This historical arch is known as the "Victory Gate" in English. This monument has a man on top with 3 lions, made in bronze, which signifies the connection to the ruling family of that time. The Arch is made of marble & well maintained. Worth seeing it for its historic value & the beauty of the architecture.

This structure is located close to a number of attractions such as the University and the Church. It seems that this structure is the gate to the city centre of this Bavarian Capital

You really can compare it with the Arc de Triomph in Paris. Just a little less beautiful. But absolutely worth visiting.

Of all the city gates of Munich, the Siegestor or Victory gate is the most intricate in design. It is similar to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. I visited the gate with my husband at sunset so we could get great photos. We came from Marienplatz and it was a couple of stops away by Metro. From Universitat station,... More
