Spend a day here if you have more time at hand
A place to have a good walk and see the sights. many joggers and cyclists as well. This place is for you to soak in the olympic that was held in Munich. Yes, there was tragedy then, BUT now is a beautiful park! Must go if you have more time.

    Great venue!
We saw Bruce Springsteen here, he was amazing! No more, no less! The stadium is spacious and unlike Wembley you don’t have to apply for a second mortgage to buy a beer and a hotdog! The security staff were friendly and helpful, all good here!

    Interesting Stadiums
We visited on a very windy April day. It's odd that you have to pay to view the track stadium, but you have to check out the toilets. I have never seen so many stalls in a women's restroom ANYWHERE. And I have been to a lot of stadiums. :) The stadium was lovely. I am glad that they still use all the venues. Not sure this is Must See, but the Memorial definitely is.

    Amazingly beautiful views
This extensive park was the site of the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. Some of the venues, like the Aquatic Center, are still in use. There's a lot you can visit, some free, others for a fee. You can, for example, enter the stadium and take a tour of the rooftop or zip line across the stadium, or both - but you need to pay to do so. There are some free activities as well. The 1972 massacre memorial is located at the north of the park and is a sobering, but respectful memorial of the tragedy that took place here. The absolute best thing to do is climb up the hill, made from the rubble from the war, to get views of the entire park and of Munich itself. If it's a clear day and you're lucky, there's an optical illusion that occurs that makes the Alps appear like they're right next to the city - it's an absolutely stunning view. The park also hosts some events. There are concerts, but also other festivals such as the summer Tollwood Festival, which is a ton of fun. SeaLife is located right in the park. The BMW headquarters and museum are right adjacent. Easy access to the center of Munich via UBahn.

    Tip Top Views
Fantastic place to visit and much to do & see around the Olympic Park. Had a fab day weather wise so went up the tower (€13.50) for the amazing views of the city and Alps in the distance. Nice coffee shop there to grab a brew and take the views in. Highly recommend 👌🏻

Great site, water scarce and overpriced.
It is amazing that after more than 50 years, this is a site that looks modern and beautiful at the same time. Definitely worth a visit. Though, take drinking water. There is some unnecessary artificial scarcity of drinking water in the area. Prices are ridiculously high. And queues are incredibly long. Munich, you should know that you can do better!

    sporting and somber
I visited to see both the stadium and other venues and the memorial for the Israeli athletes who were killed in 1972. There were multiple memorials, including at the apartment building on Connollystrasse which had been part of the Olympic Village. (It's a bit of a walk, but a direct line of sight with the more in-depth video memorial.)

A lovely place for a walk!
My best friend and I are big Queen fans and we visited the Olympic Park mainly to see the Olympiahalle where Queen played 7 times in their career (with Freddie) It felt very special to see it but unfortunately when we visited (20th Jan 2024) we couldn't get close to it as there was building work going on. The Olympic Park is HUGE. We were only able to see a small part of it as we were time restricted due to having a large itinerary but it's a really lovely place for a walk. We also saw the TV tower and glimpsed part of the Olympic stadium itself. The park was very clean and a popular spot. It's quite far out from the city centre by public transport but I'd definitely recommend a visit!

Overall a well maintained and very big park but 1 water, 1 Coca Cola and 1 Fanta to go 14.25€€€. Robbery. Don’t forget to get your own water and drinks people if you plan to visit!

Absolutely stunning environment - great place to walk, jog or cycle - unless you want to see the stadium (which is worthwhile to see as well) the admission to the park is free of charge

With a few hours to spear on our last day in Munich, I decided to take the U-Bahn to “Olympiazentrum” and see the BMW museum. My wife decided to stay in the hotel and rest.

The U-Bahn station places you behind the touristed BMW Welt exhibition. You have to cross over a bridge to get to the Olympic Park. Just before the bridge, though, there is a large area for out door volleyball. On the day of my visit, all 20 courts and more were being played on.

I had no intention of seeing the 1972 Olympic Park. As it goes, the BMW buildings and the Olympic Park are literally side-by-side. It is easy to visit both venues.

Many of the Olympic buildings are covered with a “tensile membrane roof.” This type of engineering cost over a billion marks.

It was an easy walk to see the famous Olympic Aquatic Center. It was here that the American swimmer, Mark Spitz, would win his 7 Gold Medals.

There is a beautiful pond to walk around. An outdoor fitness facility attracts the young.

I was attracted to climb that huge hill. Rubble from WWII was placed here making this mound. There is now grass and trees. The 15-minute doable walk will reward you with an impressive sight overlooking Munich, the Olympic Village and the BMW complex. This is a popular view point and you will probably not be alone. A beer popular beer garden is down the hill.

My wife after hearing my adventures now wants to see this famous area. I guess a trip back to Munich is instore. We would incorporate this time in going to the 955-foot communication tower and eating at the 182-meter-high restaurant. Over 35 million people have visited the tower.
