We walked through this garden on our way from the English Garden back to Munich centre and there were a couple of buskers playing the glockenspiel in the rotunda. Obviously not guaranteed for everyones visit but it made it feel very Bavarian.

Hofgarten is the court garden just north of Residenz and one of the much needed green spaces in the city of Munich. It was built in the early 17th century.

This is a small formal garden just outside the Residenz. In the center is the Diana temple. Several benches to sit on and relax. Just outside the park on the Odeonsplatz there are both Men's and Women's restrooms (go down the stairs).
Basically next to English Garden, it can be a stop over if you are walking towards English Garden from the Odeonsplatz like me. The Deutsches Theatermuseum is right next to it, got some nice photos here!
