Such a beautiful place to walk in Munchen. I've been there multiple times starting in 2004. It's a great place to see the baroque architecture of the buildings and have a quiet family walk. If you have young kids, a suggestion is to bring or...More

Worth the money. Gardens are beautiful, expect to walk miles and miles. Bring shoes that are comfortable and water. Don’t be afraid of walking, it’s necessary to see all its beauty. If you can’t walk then just stay in main palace. If you are a...More

This palace is impressive on its size and number of artifacts, but outside that there is nothing else that special about it. The outdoor gardens are pretty and very large, but the houses set up were tiny and not worth the price of admission.

Getting to the palace is very easy on the tram. The grounds were beautiful. We decided to take the inside tour, which was brief, but informative. We added the audio guide, which was well worth it. We didn't tour every palace we saw on our...More

This is a Munich must - beautiful 18th century palace, in an Italian tradition. Inside, lovely hallways, grand staircases. The highlight is the „Gallery of Beauties“ - portraits of beautiful ladies, all commissioned by King Ludwig I.

Take the audio tour to learn more about the history and royalty at the palace then wander around the vast and ornate gardens. Don't forget the annexes containing restored carriages and sleighs belonging to the royal household - it's like being taken back in time....More

You have to dig a little deeper in Bavarian history to undersstand and appreciate this urban palace, whch was inspired by french examples. Not the main highlight and sometimes very busy, but good enough if you have some time to kill

I ran short of time and energy and didn't have enough of either to take the tour during my recent visit to Munich, but I did walk from the Gern U-Bahn station just to see the exterior, and it was well worth the effort. Absolutely...More

Unlike the other responses I believe that the audio guide is essential since it provides wonderful insights and helps to avoid aimless wandering through this wonderful palace.
