Compared to other international muse on modern art the neue pinakothek has less famous works and a large collection of german artists that are not as well known internationally.

There are some painting there that I couldn't understand why they were kept. I mean neither the idea was great nor the technique. However, there are also some very fine works there. The most crowded room is the one that has Van Gogue's Sunflowers painting....More

Great for a rainy day. Extensive range of works, and some of the most iconic artists you could hope to find, especially towards the end of the exhibition. Plan 2 hours. 1 euro on Sundays.

On a Sunday you can get into the museum for one Euro. A fantastic price to spend several hours browsing a beautiful collection of works from a large variety of artists. Many beautiful sculptures as well. Must admit the Monet and VanGogh were my highlights...More
