If you want to get away from the Munich hubbub, this is a beautiful, quiet spot. No admission charge, not too many stairs to climb, attractive art and architecture... and if you like lighting candles for others... you can do that here for 50p.

Close to Marienplatz, this church is well worth visiting. When I went, the facade was undergoing restoration but the interior was open and is indeed beautiful, with lovely ceiling frescoes and ornate detailing on the supporting columns.

Stumbled upon this church one afternoon and went inside. The church was a pretty, relaxing place to take a break from a busy day of sightseeing. We were lucky that the there was a beautiful art installation at the time, depicting doves. This was incredibly...More

The inside is decorated with very light pink ornaments. Combined with the other soft colors ir gives the church a very positive and sweet vibe. A good place for reflection and prayers.

A nice church adjacent to the Viktualienmark and near Marienplatz, St Peter's and the Old Town Hall. While relatively ordinary from the outside, it is uber-baroque on the inside especially its high altar and the beautiful ceilings. Do not pass it by.

The European churches are like museums on their own right. This was a beautiful church well worth a visit and a restful moment. Don't miss the glass casket outfitted in jewels. Thoroughly enjoyed this church right on the town square.

This church was also under renovation like many in Munich but worth a look inside. Its name is derived from the 14th century Holy Ghost medieval order that flourished in the 1300's at this site. The church was completed in 1730 but badly destroyed in...More
