This prominent public square, the largest in Munich, still stands as the center of social activity in the city, much as it has throughout history.

Its a market place with lot of premier brands and some old architecture. It is fun to just walk around and enjoy the environment of the place.

We went here with a family member and hung out while they told us all about the area from a locals perspective. It is so pretty and is such a nice place to hang out in.

Neither the architectural space nor the activities nor the ambiance is particularly engaging. You will probably just wander through.

A place where every tourist to Munich should visit - it's the center of the old section of the city, where it is surrounded by beer houses, restaurants, shopping areas, and many churches and buildings of interest.
