Easy to find. I happened to be there when there's a 12:30-12:45 meditation. So I stayed at the back until they finished. Then they let tourists to wander around. You can either pay 2 Euros to wander into the crypt where the Bavarian royal family...More

In the midst of lust, a church full of symbolism. Once again, the attention that the locals give to its history and monuments is notorious. Very cared for and preserved. Worth the visit.

10.6.18 This is a church that is usually closed but today as I went by around 16:00 🕓 it was open. I can see why it is kept locked to protect the ornate church decorations, paintings and ornaments. The Church is an architectural masterpiece. Make...More

Beautiful church, very impressed especially with the sculpture all over the church. It was nice to mix with the congregation during Mass.

Nice Barok church (not my taste, sorry). Lunchconcert at 12:30 and the possibility to do confession in a host of languages, including Boarisch of course, make this worth the visit. Plenty of Songbooks. And not to forget a beautifully made shrine, dating back a long...More

A wonderful large church in the heart of Munich is the burial place of dukes and kings. Don’t forget to €2 for the crypt.

St Michael's is a lot more interesting on the inside than the Frauenkirche cathedral. Mainly because the severely destroyed cathedral was rebuilt in a modern fashion and not restored historically. We visited both churches during mass and there were around 50 people in the cathedral...More

St. Michael has always been my favorite, so this church was right up my alley. But it's also great if you don't like St. Michael as much as I do!

There is a small entry fee to go into the crypt. Can't remember how much.
