Dont go to Neuschwanstein Castle by yourself - take Radius tours and ask for Austin. The best and funniest guide ever! Made the tour of Neuschwanstein much more interesting than the local guides of the castle.

We just got back from Radius's Third Reich Tour, led by wonderful, knowledgeable Keith from Scotland. (Hi also to Keith's mum Elaine!) Keith did a great job of guiding a fairly large group of English-speaking tourists around the city and showing us the locations where...More

I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone wanting to visit Neuschwanstein Castle. While entry to the castle is not included, it does include a skip the line pass so you do not have to wait for hours for a specific time slot to tour...More

Austin from Dallas was our guide, and if possible, you should request him by name. He has studied the castle lore and Ludwig II in great detail. His humor and passion for the area entertains everybody. We would take other tours guided by him. We...More

Looks that I addressed my question to the wrong party. I wanted to ask Radius Tours company, but made a mistake somehow. Sorry.

The majority of the tours that I looked into took the train, so that is the meeting spot. There is lots of transit that gets you to that location.
